Prothom Alo won an honorable mention in the 'Best Ideas to Increase Advertising Sales' category for this initiative. In this category, Sweden's top media platform Bonnier News stood first, India's Jagran Prakashan stood second and the joint campaign of UK's News UK, Reach, Guardian and Telegraph stood third. Along with Prothom Alo, New Zealand's NZME also received an honorable mention in this category.

This year a 60-member jury panel from 23 countries evaluated 771 entries submitted for the Global Media Awards. A total of 193 entrants were selected across 20 categories, with final awards given for innovation and best practices across news brands, media features, membership, product, advertising and commerce, optimizing the use of Artificial Intelligence and newsroom innovation.

Finland's Helsingin Sanomat wins 'Best in Show' award at the 2024 Global Media Awards. The 'Best in South Asia' award was given to India's India Today for its 'AI-led Newsroom Transformation' project.

We are very proud of all of our finalists.”

Last month Prothom Alo won four awards at the South Asian Digital Media Awards of WAN-INFRA, another international media organization. At the awards ceremony held in Delhi, India on 14 March, Prothom Alo won two silvers, one bronze and one honorable mention. Over the past four years, Prothom Alo has won 13 consecutive awards at the South Asian Digital Media Awards.
