While visiting the BPSC in Agargaon in the capital, Prothom Alo correspondent found demi-official (DO) letters from ministers and MPs requesting for recruitment of their candidates.
PSC officials further said that they also receive calls from higher officials.
A senior PSC official, speaking to Prothom Alo, said that he felt embarrassed because he received a call from such a distinguished person.
The man gave a roll number and said, “Please look into the matter,” the PSC officer said.
There are several allegations against various ministries and departments regarding the recruitment process, including nepotism and bribery.
However, job seekers want to rely on impartial recruitment by the constitutional body.
