Roshan did not take nomination form, controversy continues

Party general secretary Mujibul Haq told reporters yesterday that Roshan Ershad is currently unwell. She stressed that if she expressed her desire to participate in the elections, she would be given full support. The same thing applies to his son Saad Irshad.

Haq clarified that there is no dispute, and if both mother and son decide to join the electoral process, their candidatures will be supported wholeheartedly. Haq expressed, “He is a special person to us, and if there is an opportunity for him, we will use any means we can to support him.”

Roshan Ershad currently holds the position of Leader of the Opposition in the National Parliament, while his son, Saad Ershad, serves as the Member of Parliament for the Rangpur-3 constituency. Nomination forms for party president GM Quader have also been received in this constituency, with party leaders indicating their interest in contesting the Rangpur-3 seat.

Additionally, GM Quadr has collected nomination forms for Dhaka-17 constituency. Currently, GM Quader is the sitting MP from Lalmonirhat-3 (Sadar) constituency.
