Under this project, the website ‘Sadai’ and two apps have been created which have been received by the Agriculture Department.
Sources said the DPP said the ‘Sadai’ platform and apps will have to be developed and made effective to ensure benefits for farmers and consumers. A total of Tk 25 million was allocated for this purpose. Instead of doing this, new websites and apps are being created.
An official, on condition of anonymity, said that a ‘payment gateway’ has been created in the ‘Sadai’ app for farmers and consumers. The list of entrepreneurs and farmers has been prepared. Such a list of entrepreneurs and farmers of 35 districts was made. Farmers from 25 districts were trained simultaneously.
The official said, after making so many arrangements, creating another platform will be a waste of public money.
Speaking to Prothom Alo, Agriculture Marketing Department director general MD Masud Karim said the previous platform is weak because it was built at low cost.
