Jannatul Hasan, sister of Bangladesh cricket all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, has been named in an investigation into Mahadev App – an online betting scam in India, multiple Indian media outlets have reported.
Shakib's younger sister Jannatul has invested in online betting app '11wicket.com'.
Indian central investigation agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) revealed massive financial corruption through Mahadev betting app – an online gaming platform.
In the investigation regarding the incident, names of many big fishes came to light.
India Today and Aaj Tak reported in their online editions on Friday night that two businessmen – Girish Talreza and Suruj Chokhani – were arrested in connection with the investigation into the Mahadev betting app.
ED sources said Suruj Chokhani invested Tk 400 million in a casino in Kathmandu. Apart from this, he also invested in '11wickets.com', a betting app in Bangladesh. His partner in this investment was Jannatul Hasan, sister of Bangladesh's star cricketer Shakib Al Hasan.
