 By this way, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said her government has been working to take sports to the rural areas by arranging inter-schools and inter-districts sports competitions to build a new generation sportsmen with sound health and mind. “The involvement of young generation in sports would immensely help them to keep away from anti social activities and build worthy citizens of the country,” she said while addressing the much-expected foundation laying ceremony of Sheikh Kamal Krira Complex at Dhanmondi Abahani Club premises as the chief guest. Sheikh Rehana, youngest daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and sister of eminent sports organizer and Founder of Abahani Club Ltd Sheikh Kamal laid the foundation stone and unveiled design of the modern and sophisticated Sheikh Kamal Krira Complex. Finance Minister A M A Muhith, Chairman of Abahani Ltd Salman F Rahman, Director In-charge of Abahani Ltd Kazi Shahed Ahmed and Adviser of Abahani Fan Club Kazi Abdul Hakim also spoke on the Speaking on the occasion Sheikh Hasina, the elder sister of Sheikh Kamal said the main objective of her government is to improve the living standard of people and flourish sports in the country by ensuring economic freedom of the countrymen.
