Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis scored half-centuries to help Sri Lanka post 214-2 at tea on the opening day of the second Test against Bangladesh on Saturday.
The duo helped give the tourists a solid start after electing to bat first in Chittagong by sharing a 114-run partnership for the second wicket.
Karunaratne's wicket fell for 86 just before tea, but Mendis continued his efforts to remain unbeaten on 65 with former captain Angelo Mathews out for one.
