Strict action against ragging and bullying in Khulna University

0 minutes, 36 seconds Read

Earlier in 2020, Supreme Court lawyer Ishrat Hasan had filed a writ petition to stop ragging and bullying in educational institutions. Subsequently, the court ordered the formation of anti-ragging committees in all educational institutions, especially public and private universities and affiliated colleges, to provide emergency services to the victims of ragging and take immediate action against those involved.

If KU had followed these instructions of the court, no student would have faced problems. Professor Sharif Hasan, Director of Student Affairs, Khulna University, has surrendered to some extent to this crime. He said the university conducts orientation programs for first-year students to prevent such incidents. They also help students by advising them. Despite all efforts, ragging and bullying are not being controlled in the campus.
