Student party expresses solidarity with BUET students' movement

The ethnic student group has expressed solidarity with the ongoing agitation by the students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

The student body expressed this solidarity at a press conference titled 'BUET crisis: Demand for violence-free educational environment and democratic student politics' at Dhaka Reporters Unity in Segunbagicha in the capital on Wednesday.

Central president of the student group, Rakibul Islam, read out a written statement at the press conference.

He said that he respects the common student of BUET. The student body expresses solidarity with the ongoing students' movement against the evil politics on the BUET campus. After the murder of Abrar Fahad, all the students, except a few, took up the stand against the Chhatra League. He demanded a ban on student politics due to lack of security.
