Fish & livestock minister told unto the press that the government will compensate the victims of Anthrax. However, the rate of compensation has not yet been known. He said, after the situation of Anthrax is under control, a survey will be taken place to measure the loss. He hoped that this situation will be under control before the Holy Eid ul Azha.
Bangladesh tanners association said in a meeting with the Fish & livestock minister that they have incurred a loss of Taka 7 billion due to very few slaughter of animals. They feared that the situation will deteriorate further if the Anthrax condition doesn’t come under control.
The minister however said that there had been no case of Anthrax since 18 September
