Saidul Kabir, an official of Bangladesh Railway’s Dhaka division, said train operations from Dhaka to other parts of the country were suspended after the derailment.
Firdous Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhaka Railway Police Station, said that on information, a police team went to the spot.
Three to four people have suffered minor injuries in the incident.
