Three people were killed in road accidents in Jhenaidah and Khagrachhari districts yesterday.
Two men were killed in separate road crashes in henaidah district yesterday.
In an accident, Lokman Hossain, 36, a worker of a local biscuit factory, was run over by a truck at Hamdah bus stand around 9:30am.
In another incident, Nazrul Islam, 42, son of Montaj Ali of Kaluchara village in Shailkupa upazila was knocked down by a bus at Kaluchara bus stand while he was crossing the road around 7:00am.
An NGO official was killed as a truck hit his motorcycle at Narikelbagan in Sadar upazila around 8:15pm yesterday.
Satirtha Dewan, 30, an officer of Trinamul Unnayon Sangstha, was rushed to district Sadar hospital where doctors declared him dead. The truck driver was held by Police.
