The missing persons are Choila Mong and Kyaw Mong Thoe Tanchangya respectively. The relatives allege that they have been abducted by the Arakan Salvation Army (ARSA).

Chhusing Siya Tanchangya said that some ARSA militants kidnapped both of them at gunpoint from Naf River. He lodged a written complaint in this regard to the police and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), but has not received any response yet.

“We don't know why they were abducted, when they will be returned, or even if they are alive. We need the help of the RAB, BGB and police to rescue them,” he said.
