Two passengers thrown from running train

DN-train-2Two passengers are reported to have thrown from running train by hijackers. One of them is in critical condition. These two passengers are textile engineers passed from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. They are working as a novice engineers in a factory at Gazipur.

They were travelling on Turag Express, when the train reached near Tejgaon station, some hijackers tried to take valuables from them. But they tried to resist. The hijackers tried to kill them by choking. Assuming they are dead the passengers were thrown from the train and they were rescued from Tejgaon station platform. Later they were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Rail police is investigating the matter. According to regular passengers, robbery on train has increased alarmingly in recent months. In many cases hijackers are stabbing the passengers after taking valuables and then throwing them from train.
