“We face a serious threat of collapse of the humanitarian system,” Guterres said at the Doha forum.

“The situation is rapidly deteriorating and turning into a catastrophe with potentially irreversible implications for peace and security for Palestinians and the region as a whole.”

The Israel–Hamas war began due to deadly attacks on Israel by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

According to Israeli officials, the militants crossed the border into Israel on October 7, killing 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducting about 240 others.
