Earlier, another journalist asked the spokesperson about the UN Secretary General’s plans on the return of Rohingyas living in Bangladesh, citing declining aid and rising criminal crimes in the region.

Stéphane Dujarric stressed voluntary and dignified repatriation, saying, “First of all, no one should be repatriated. No refugee should be sent back against his or her will. This needs to be done voluntarily in a way that maintains their dignity and their safety.”
