US warns Israel: Rafah offensive threatens arms supplies, Biden vows action

Palestinian militant group Hamas said late Wednesday it would not make any more concessions to Israel in ceasefire talks.

Delegations from Hamas, Israel, the US, Egypt and Qatar have been meeting in Cairo since Tuesday.

Citing a source familiar with the matter, Egypt's state-affiliated Al Qahera TV said Thursday morning that areas of disagreement were being resolved and there were indications that an agreement would be reached, without giving details.

But Ezzat al-Reshik, a member of Hamas's political office in Qatar, said in a statement late on Wednesday that the group would not go further than the ceasefire proposal accepted on Monday.

This would also include the release of some Israeli hostages in Gaza and Palestinian women and children detained in Israel.

“Israel is not serious about reaching an agreement and is using the negotiations as a cover to attack Rafah and capture the crossing,” Reshik said.
