Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has asked the Ministry of Local Government to look into the complaints made by the organization’s president against Dhaka WASA Managing Director (MD) Takseem A Khan. Today, in a press statement released on Friday, the anti-corruption organization demanded a proper probe into the allegations leveled against the WASA MD.
Quoting media reports, the TIB statement said that the Dhaka Vasa Board chairman has made statements against the MD in a letter to the local government and the media. He alleged that the organization has been reduced to a den of irregularities, theft and corruption and has rendered the WASA board ineffective. This has been brought to the attention of the public in news reports and studies.
