Of the nine children who died of measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, three each were from Dhaka and Sylhet divisions. Besides, one child each died in Chattogram, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions.
District-wise, the highest number of deaths occurred in Dhaka and Moulvibazar, which reported two deaths each.
During the last 24 hours, the number of suspected measles patients in the country stood at 1264. During this period, 1115 patients were admitted to hospitals, while 1110 were discharged.
Measles was confirmed in 73 people in the last 24 hours.
Division-wise data shows that Dhaka division recorded the highest number of suspected measles patients with 544 cases in the last 24 hours.
After this, 230 cases were registered in Chattogram and 147 cases were registered in Barisal. Dhaka division also saw the highest number of measles cases confirmed at 54.
