LPG cylinders ranging from 5 kg to 45 kg are available in the market. Apart from domestic cooking, LPG is used in restaurants, transport and factories and the private sector accounts for 99 per cent of the country’s LPG market.
However, the price of LPG supplied by state-owned companies did not increase.
Besides this, the price of LPG (auto gas) used in automobiles has been increased from Rs 46.59 per liter in August to Rs 52.17 per litre.
