The Election Commission is reviewing the appeals of candidates who lost their candidature during the nomination screening process for the 12th parliamentary elections to be held on January 7.
The review of the appeal began at 10:00 am on Monday at Nirbachan Bhawan in the Agargaon area of the capital.
Today, during the appeal hearing on Monday, five out of ten candidates withdrew their candidature.
The candidature of two candidates has been cancelled, while the Election Commission has not been able to take a decision on the remaining three candidates till the time of filing this report.
