Shafayet’s father Shah Alam said that he was suffering from mental troubles. Shafayet lived with his family on the 12th floor of the 17-storey building.
Alam told that while running to enter the lift, Shafayet slipped and fell from the balcony.
Shafayet was an HSC examiner at Sher-e-Bangla Railway School and College. He was the eldest of two brothers.
