A total of 170 Bangladeshi nationals were repatriated from Libya today, Tuesday as authorities again issued a warning against human trafficking and irregular migration through dangerous sea routes to Europe.
A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Tuesday, said that the people who expressed their desire to return home arrived in Dhaka from Benghazi on a Burak Air flight at around 5 am.
The repatriation was carried out in collaboration with the Libyan Government and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) through coordinated efforts of the Bangladesh Embassy in Libya, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment.
