This is the fifth verdict given in cases related to crimes against humanity during the mass uprising in July. The prosecution said it presented 13 witnesses in the case.
The accused face three charges of crimes against humanity during the July mass uprising. The first charge pertained to the fatal shooting of Mohammad Nadeem Hussain in Bansri area of Rampura on the afternoon of July 19, 2024.
Another alleged that on the same day, Amir Hussain, who was hanging from the edge of an under-construction building in Banashree, was shot and seriously injured. The third charge relates to the shooting of seven-year-old Basit Khan Musa in the head in Banashree that afternoon, the same bullet that killed his grandmother Maya Islam.
