Agriculture Minister M Abdur Razzak said on Wednesday that harvesting of Boro paddy is going on in Hor region, while 35 per cent paddy has been harvested so far.
“Right now, around 1,000 combine harvesters are being used to harvest paddy in Sunamganj only. It is expected that the paddy crop will be harvested by next 30 April. This time there will be no problem in paddy harvesting.
Sunamganj District Administration and Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office organized the event.
Awami League Presidium member Razzaq said that in the current financial year 2022-23, Boro paddy has been cultivated in about 5 million hectares of land across the country.
