However, intermittent firing was heard in Unchiprang, Nayapara, Lumberbil areas of Howikang Union, Teknaf upazila from 8:00 pm on Thursday night. Mahfuzur Rahman, a local fish farmer, told Prothom Alo on Thursday night that he has a fish farm near the border on the banks of the Naf River.
But due to increase in firing since 8 pm, he is not leaving his house.
