Binayak Sen said in his speech, during the pandemic many children left the school. This trend was greater among low-income households. The Director General of BIDS said that the social security measures in the cities are limited, therefore more attention needs to be paid to this area.
The chief guest of the program was Planning Minister MA Mannan. He said, “When wealth is created, inequality is inevitable. We are working to reduce inequality. As part of that, we are providing allowances like old age allowance and widow allowance.”
