According to the UNB report, police have so far detained nine suspects in connection with the attack on a train at Tongi railway station in Ghazipur on Thursday night and snatching valuables from passengers.
Confirming the development on Friday morning, Officer-in-Charge of Kamlapur Railway Police Station, Firdous Ahmed Biswas said that police arrested nine people for allegedly snatching valuables from passengers after attacking the train and questioning the drivers in and around Tongi area. Those arrested are Mehedi Hasan Joy, 26, Mohd Roni, 35, Rabiul Hasan, 40, Mohd Swadin, 30, Mohd Saiful Islam Zakir, 25, Mohd Masood, 27, Mohd Nasir, 20, Mohd Nayon Hasan, 28, and Mohammad Ashiq, 22. They are residents of different areas of Tongi.
