According to the UNB report, a case has been registered against Nurul Haq Noor, chairman of a faction of the Gono Adhikar Parishad, at the city’s Hatirjheel police station for misbehaving with the police and obstructing official work.
Speaking to reporters at the Minto Road Detective Branch (DB) headquarters on Thursday afternoon, Harun Ya Rashid, Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and head of the DB, confirmed the incident.
He said that it is the duty of all citizens to cooperate with the police. Police should have provided assistance after Noor revealed his identity.
