A new political party named ‘Progressive Republican Forum’ is going to be formed soon in Chhattogram.
Nazim Uddin, a former leader of Chittagong South unit BNP and former vice-president of Chittagong University Central Students Union (CUCSU), will be the party president.
Azim Uddin, former general secretary of CUCSU, elected from Samajtantrik Chhatra Morcha, is going to become the general secretary of the party.
Nazim Uddin claimed that the party would mostly consist of former BNP leader-workers who are dissatisfied with the party.
He said that people are now looking for an alternative to Awami League and BNP.
Nazim said that his party will include former student leaders and politicians with clean image.
The party will be launched at a press conference at the Chattogram Press Club on Sunday at 11:30 am.
