The AL general secretary said this at a press conference held at the political office of the AL president at Dhanmondi in the city.
Quader told the media that the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is independently gathering information in the case of former IGP Benazir Ahmed. The ACC is independent. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given this independence. The ACC said that an investigation is going on about the illegal properties of Benazir Ahmed.
The Road Transport and Bridges Minister further said that investigations are underway, which means if a case is filed, he will have to face trial. No criminal will get relief during Sheikh Hasina's tenure. If former army chief Aziz Ahmed was involved in corruption, the ACC can investigate him. Every wrongdoer, no matter who he is, will be brought to justice.
The AL general secretary said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is known all over the world as an honest prime minister. Honesty and hard work are the main reasons for her popularity in Bangladesh. The government is always ready to take action against corruption.
