After the attack on the project director, the view of the Municipal Corporation office has changed. Now, visitors who want to meet an official or stay at a department have to sign in at the main gate of the office.
The accounts section is on the 5th floor of the building – a place that once used to buzz with the movement of contractors and representatives of contracting firms. But after Sunday the scene completely changed. Only a few contractors were seen coming to the office.
Requesting anonymity, three officials in the accounts section told Prothom Alo that they are not under pressure as of now. The movement of contractors in the office has reduced considerably.
