Party sources said the Dhaka city northern unit of the Awami League would hold positions in seven places. They are Uttara, Mohakhali, Farmgate, Shyamoli, Gabtoli, Mirpur-10 Golchakkar, and Rampura-Badda U Loop.
The Dhaka City South unit of the Awami League will hold rallies in front of the party headquarters at Bangabandhu Avenue and Jatrabadi roundabout.
Central leaders at various levels will participate in the rallies. General Secretary Obaidul Kader will participate in many rallies including Shyamoli.
The Jubo League, the youth wing of AL, organized a “peace rally” in the premises of the central Shaheed Minar. Addressing the people of BNP and Jamaat, Jubo League president Sheikh Fazle Shams (Parash) said, “(If) tomorrow you touch the lives and property of the people of this country, we will break your hand. Don’t even try
