He further added, “It would have been better for me mentally if these issues were presented in a benign manner. False allegations do not benefit the country in the eyes of outsiders. Since I have never traded shares myself, these mistakes or words mentioned in this regard are extremely regrettable.”
The all-rounder expressed his desire to play his last Test match in Bangladesh. “If there is any scope left and I can return home, I want my last Test to be in Mirpur. I have already told this to the board. They are aware of it and are working on how to make it possible.”
He expressed hope that the Board would ensure his safety on his return and, if necessary, make safe arrangements for his departure.
He said, “I believe the board and people involved are looking into the matter and will take a decision. Based on that, I hope to come back, play well and say goodbye to my Test career on a positive note.”
