A female student of psychology department of Dhaka University has alleged that a female professor of her department has assaulted her and rebuked with slang words. She is a student of master’s course and she went to room no 3034 of arts building to visit her course tutor to discuss about project submission of her course.
According to the written application submitted to the chairman of the department, proctor and vice chancellor of the university, that female professor kicked the student and used slang words including ‘concubine’.
That professor admitted that she used the word ‘concubine’. The victim student alleged that, the professor has used slang words on several occasion.
Her classmates locked that professor inside her room for about half an hour today. Later university officials and other teachers rescued that professor. The chairman of the department has said that they will take necessary steps according to academic rule.
No explanation is received from the alleged professor so far.
