Azad said the contact committee was convened in accordance with the instructions of the top-level meeting of alliance leaders held a day earlier, in which Shafiqur Rehman and other senior leaders were present.
“Our 11-party electoral unity will continue as an 11-party alliance in Parliament and beyond. Since we contested the elections jointly, we will play our parliamentary role collectively.”
Azad said the alliance will take a coordinated approach on national, public and state interests in the current political context.
