Responding to questions about the ban on the political activities of the Awami League, BNP general secretary and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “The activities of the Awami League are banned; they are closed and will remain closed. Those who are left will work and are working.”
On Wednesday night, Mirza Fakhrul spoke to reporters at the office of BNP chairperson Tariq Rahman in Gulshan, Dhaka.
He made this comment in response to a question from journalists.
