
Prof Muzaffer Ahmad was considered as one of the few intellectuals without political allegiance in this highly politicized society. In a statement TIB expressed condolence and said TIB lost a guardian, but TIB will continue its anti corruption movement.
He breathed his last on Tuesday night at the age of 79. He was born in 1936, passed HSC in 1952 and obtained his masters degree from Dhaka University in 1956. Then he did his PhD from Chicago University. Though he was a student of economics but he involved in many social movements including anti corruption movement, movement for good governance, human rights, environment conservation. He worked in many educational institutions and organizations. At last he worked as a professor of Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University. He worked there of thirty years and made it an international standard institute.
