According to the Gazette, Special Superintendent of Police of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Mohd. Nazmul Karim Khan has been sent on compulsory retirement in public interest as per Section 45 of ‘Public Service Act, 2018’.
The order will come into force with immediate effect.
According to Section 45 of the ‘Public Service Act, 2018’, if a public servant completes 25 years, the government can send him on compulsory retirement without assigning any reason in the public interest. However, the President being the recruiting authority, has to take the approval of the President in that case.
