The illustrious Argentina, one of the tournament favourites, are playing their fifth and final campaign, which means their last chance to equal the late Diego Maradona and lift the sport’s biggest trophy.
“Everything comes down to the details,” Argentina defender Lisandro Martinez said Tuesday. “We saw it with Messi’s goal. The match before (against Mexico) was very tight.”
“We know what we are capable of. We can play better and we know we are not at our best yet. But we are trying.”
Argentina are second in Group C with three points, one behind the Poles, they must win to ensure progress.
A draw could also potentially be enough for the South Americans if Mexico and Saudi Arabia also finish level.
