Army Aviation Basic Course-13 successfully concludes.

DHAKA, Dec 11, 2024 (BSS): The Army Aviation Basic Course-13, conducted under the supervision of the Aviation School within the Army Aviation Group, concluded today at the Dhaka Cantonment. The event marked a significant milestone in military aviation training and showcased the culmination of rigorous efforts by the young participants.

The Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. During the event, he distributed certificates to the successful trainees and adorned them with

prestigious flying brevets. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the details in a press release issued this evening.

Training Details and Participants

 

The course, which commenced on July 16, 2023, included 24 young officers from various branches of the country’s defense forces and police. Among the participants, 18 officers represented the Army, four hailed from the Navy, and two were from the Bangladesh Police.

With the motto “Gati O Nipunta” (Speed and Precision), the Army Aviation Group has been instrumental in grooming skilled aviators. Since its inception on January 1, 1978, the institution has provided world-class flying training for military and police personnel, establishing itself as a cornerstone of aviation excellence in Bangladesh.

Outstanding Performers

Three officers received special recognition for their exceptional performance during the course:

  • Fixed Wing Aircraft: Lt. Adnan Rakib, (X), BN (P.No-3516)
  • Rotary Wing Aircraft: Captain Abdullah Al Hasib, AC (BA-10185)
  • UAV Regiment: Captain M Fahim-Al-Zaman, EME (BA-10095)

These individuals earned the distinction of “Best Airmen,” demonstrating outstanding skills and dedication to their respective disciplines.

Notable Attendees

The concluding session witnessed the presence of several high-ranking officials and dignitaries. Among them were the Chief of General Staff of the Bangladesh Army, the Commandant of the National Defense College, the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, the Quartermaster General, and the Inspector General of Bangladesh Police. Senior officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Police, as well as invited guests and members of the media, also attended the ceremony.
