Pallabi police station in-charge (OC) Hasan Bashir said, “We have received the DNA report from the CID. Besides, the autopsy report from Suhrawardy Hospital was also handed over to us today. We are hopeful that the charge sheet will be filed in the case by tomorrow, Sunday. We are working with top priority.”
On May 19, around 11:30 am, the decomposed body of an eight-year-old girl was recovered from a third-floor apartment in a building in Pallabi. After the incident, the child’s father registered a case at Pallabi police station. Sohail Rana, the main accused in the murder case, had given a confessional statement in the court last Wednesday. In the statement, he confessed to raping the girl and then killing her.
