Bail of four including Dr. Yunus increased in labor law case

It was alleged in the case that the recruitment of workers or employees of Grameen Telecom was not made permanent even after the completion of their apprenticeship period as per the Labor Act, 2006 and Labor Rules, 2015. Annual leave, encashment of leave and leave in lieu of cash payment were not given to workers or employees working in the organization.

It also said that the Workers Participation Fund and Welfare Fund have not been established in rural telecom. Also, the amount equivalent to 5 per cent of the profit has not been deposited in the fund constituted under the Labour Welfare Foundation Act.
