Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Judge AM Zulfikar Hayat granted him bail pending the submission of the police report, the tribunal’s prosecutor said.
Meanwhile, the date of January 12 has been fixed for submitting the inquiry report in the matter.
In the same case, Babul was arrested on November 10 last year and shown on one-day remand for questioning.
Another accused journalist Ilyas Hussain, who was made the prime accused in the case, is abroad.
