Businessman Firoz Al Mamun Faisal had gone to Green Cozy Cottage building on Thursday night to buy Punjabi for his father. As he was paying the bill for the two Punjabis he had purchased, Faisal realized that the building was on fire.
Due to the second flood, Faisal quickly went down the stairs but could not come out of the building. Faisal alleged that the gate of the building was locked after the fire broke out in the building.
After failing to leave the building, Faisal again reached the shop. By then the room was filled with smoke and the electricity had also gone out. Faisal along with many other people remained stuck at the shop for one and a half hours. Fire service officials rescued him after controlling the fire. He was later admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.
