United Nations secretary general Ban Ki-moon is due to come to Bangladesh today in the evening. He will stay here for three days.
He will visit Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training — dedicated to training of UN peacekeepers and will join international conference on climate change.
According to a release of the United Nations office in Dhaka, the UN chief will meet the family members of some deceased UN peacekeepers. He will also hold meetings with top government and opposition leaders
During his visit he will visit several places including ICDDRB (Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh), BRAC.
Dhaka University is going to pay him an honorary degree and Mr. Ban will address a public meeting there.
He will also visit a community clinic in Moulovibazar to observe the development in health area.
He is going to leave Dhaka for Bangkok on Wednesday morning
