The campaign fined these three restaurants because they had no permits. Zulkar Nain, Dhaka South City zonal officer and executive magistrate who runs the mobile court, said the restaurant had no documents. Keeping in mind the beginning of Ramzan, the restaurant has been fined for now. They have to shift from residential buildings to commercial buildings, or get the building approved for commercial use.

The executive magistrate further said, “We will take action against the owners of these two buildings as per their tax records. It will be seen how they are renting out the building for commercial purposes while paying housing tax. There will be regular cases.” ” A case should be registered against the building owners.”

Earlier, the illuminated signboard of Turkish Adana Kebab, a restaurant on the ground floor of a residential building on Banani Road 17-A, was removed. Municipal Corporation officials said that this restaurant did not even have any permission. Seeing the mobile court, the restaurant staff locked it and left.
