Bangla text message on mobile phone

Survival of the fittest is true for everything. Even for a language. We know many languages are extinct just because those languages could not cope with new situation.
It the Pakistan era many experts have been trying to say that Bengali should not be a state language, because Bengali is not usable in type writers.

But late Munir Chowdhury (মুনীর চৌধুরী) proved that Bengali can be used in type writer also. In fact his work survived Bangla at that time.

Now Bangla is facing a new challenge. We can use Unicode based Bangla in computers. But mobile phone sector is different. There was some Java based application for mobile phones. Though there was no standardization.

Now the authority is forcing the mobile phone importers to ensure that all mobile phones have Bangla key pad.

Yesterday Prime minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated Bangla texting from mobile phone. She wrote ‘আমার ভাইয়ের রক্তে রাঙানো একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারি, আমি কি ভুলিতে পারি’ that means, How can I forget 21th feb reddened with my brothers blood.
