Bangladesh has been unanimously elected as the Vice-Chair of the United Nations (UN) 2023 Water Conference, which began on Wednesday at the United Nations Headquarters.
The official announcement was made during the launch of the conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, according to a press release received on Thursday.
It is the first United Nations Water Conference held in the last 50 years, with the aim of achieving the desired progress in implementing the Global Water Program through joint efforts of the Member States of the United Nations, various organizations under its jurisdiction and all other stakeholders .
