Bangladesh fast bowler Ebadot Hossain has been ruled out of the ICC World Cup 2023 as he will undergo knee surgery in London today, Wednesday, keeping him out of action for at least three months.
The World Cup is scheduled to begin in India on October 5, which means that the fast bowler will not be fit in time to play in the World Cup.
“Abadot will be operated upon today. After this he will have to stay in rehab. Overall, he may take a long time to recover completely,” chief selector Minhajul Abedin told Prothom Alo on Wednesday.
